Шаг 1. Определяем время действия в предложениях. Если есть указатели настоящего момента (now, currently), то используем Present Continuous (образуется с am/is/are + глагол с окончанием -ing). Если же речь идёт о прошлом с указателями времени (at this time yesterday, at seven o’clock yesterday, yesterday), то используем Past Continuous (образуется с was/were + глагол с окончанием -ing).
