I would like to tell you about the stone heads. As you can see, statues are depicted in the photo. These are moai - monolithic stone statues. They are located on Easter Island in the Pacific Ocean. It is believed that the statues were made by the island's aborigines (Rapa Nui people) between 1250 and 1500, however, there is no consensus on who made the statues, with what tools they were made, and how they were moved around the island. They were first described by James Cook. There is also a legend in which it is said that the islanders believed that a supernatural power of ancestors (mana) was enclosed in the statues. The concentration of mana led to good harvests, rains, and prosperity. Currently, 887 moai statues are counted on the island. And indeed, when the soil around the statues was analyzed, the soil was found to be the most fertile on the island. It is hoped that even more statues will be found for the greater prosperity of the island.
